Our Purpose

We As One is a survivor-led movement working to break the silence, protect the vulnerable, and empower every survivor of sexual abuse and violence.

Our Purpose is Simple...

To break silence.
To stop shame.
To transform pain into power.

We As One is a survivor and advocate led movement dedicated to breaking the silence around sexual abuse and violence, protecting the next generation, and empowering every survivor to heal and reclaim their voice.

Founded by Leanne Jennings and Bronagh Munro, the movement was born from lived experience and the desire to build a world where survivors and their allies are heard, supported, and free to heal. Through storytelling, education, prevention resources, and community support, We As One creates spaces where survivors and allies can connect, learn, and lead change — together.

To Honour Survival

We honour survival by telling the truth unapologetically and in our own words.

To Support Healing

We support healing by creating safe, honest spaces for stories to be heard.

To Spark Conversation

We spark conversation by speaking the truths others find it hard.

To Stand With Survivors

We stand with survivors because no one should heal alone.

Survivors and allies stand together in this movement. We’ve seen how silence protects harm and we refuse to look away. We speak up for those who couldn’t, and for those still finding their voice.

OurMission

To protect, empower and educate — creating a world where survivors of sexual abuse and violence are heard, supported and free to heal.

WhoWe are

For years, we lived in silence carrying the weight of childhood abuse without words, without support. Now, we speak. Not just for ourselves but for every survivor still finding their voice. This movement is our response to that silence. Through raw storytelling, trauma-informed resources and brave conversations, we are creating a platform where healing is possible, shame is dismantled, and truth is honoured.

Leanne Jennings

Leanne is one of the five sisters at the heart of this movement—a survivor, truth-teller and fierce advocate for healing.

Her journey is one of deep resilience. Having carried the weight of childhood trauma in silence for years, Leanne now stands with courage to help break the cycle—not just for herself, but for others walking similar paths. She brings to this mission a powerful blend of lived experience, emotional intelligence and a deep sense of care.

With a background in business start-ups, Leanne offers more than just her story—she offers wisdom, insight and leadership rooted in real life. Her voice is both grounding and galvanising, helping others feel seen, heard and less alone.

Leanne is a builder of brave spaces. Whether through podcast conversations, workshops or one-to-one connection, she brings honesty, vulnerability and compassion to every part of this work. She believes healing isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being real.

Her role in the movement is clear:

• To hold space.
• To speak truth.
• To walk beside those finding their way out of silence.

Bronagh Munro

Bronagh is a truth-teller, protector and natural connector—one of the five sisters leading this movement with raw honesty and unwavering heart.

Bronagh’s journey has been one of reclaiming power after years of silence. She brings fierce empathy to the work—grounded in personal experience and a deep desire to make sure no one feels alone in their pain. Her strength lies in her ability to hold space for others, while still standing firm in her own truth.

With a background in journalism, Bronagh blends lived insight with practical support. She is known for her warmth, her humour, and her ability to say the hard things with softness and clarity.

Bronagh is often the bridge—the one who helps others feel safe enough to open up, and strong enough to keep going. Her voice in the podcast and beyond brings tenderness, grit and deep emotional resonance.

Her role in the movement is powerful:

• To connect.
• To care.
• To speak the truth with compassion and conviction.
